Phil's Qualifications

It is very important that whoever you have to come and check your horses teeth holds a recognised qualification and relevant insurance to cover equine dental treatments (please ask to see these documents). Currently, the law in England is that anyone can purchase tools and practice as an Equine Dentist. Please ensure your dentist is registered with either of these organsiation: The World Wide Association of Equine Dentistry (http://wwaed.org.uk/) or the British Association Of Equine Dental Technicians (http://www.baedt.com/).

 

Phil is a UK qualified DEFRA and RCVS approved category 2 dentist with the WWAED.

 

Phil originally trained with the Mid West Equine Dental Academy in America as there were no qualifying courses running in England at the time.

 

World Wide Association of Equine Dentistry (WWAED) Qualififed:

 

  • Phil is a WWAED DEFRA & RCVS approved Qualified category 2 dentist.

 

  • Phil has attended the BEVA advanced theory course.

 

  • WWAED full member.

 

  • Phil has been a professional equine dental practitioner for over 15 years and has gained a significant amount of experience working with thousands of horses, vets and other equine professionals.

 

Phil also spent time working with and shadowing a well known and experianced(some 20 years) equine dentist
